A-Bomb Day [International Incident]

Another Angle

Today is A-Bomb day, the anniversary of the day that the US dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima in an attempt to end the aggression in the Pacific during World War II.

It’s a day that many Americans do not think about, but every year the mayor of Hiroshima makes a statement and implores the world to stop the proliferation of nuclear weapons.

Disarmament is serious business and nuclear weapons have the potential to cause lasting, irreversible (in our lifetimes) change to the world. I urge anyone reading this to think about the danger that nuclear weapons pose to the world today and support non-proliferation efforts in any way that you can.
