Embedded Reporter: Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Abridged Series

Hey sports fans, it’s Monday and you no doubt know what that means, it’s time for Embedded Reporter, this blog’s weekly internet video feature. Each week I’ll embed something to enjoy.

This week I bring you Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series Episode 1. My friend Duffy recommended these to me saying they were hilarious. I’m inclined to agree. Sure, the jokes are a bit juvenile and don’t mean as much unless you’ve seen the god-awful English dub of Yu-Gi-Oh!, but I’ve enjoyed up to the 9th episode of this great series. Apparently they also do Abridged Series for other anime and shows too, which I might check out. Enjoy!

    The post that started it all. I like how you started here with your structure and embedded reporter. Of course, you had the experience of a few prior blogs, so you were able to get this one right the first time around.

    The funny thing is that, three years later, while reading http://www.tvtropes.org , I read about the Sailor Moon Abridged Series (which is funny, although I doubt I’d be able to bring myself to watch more than a couple episodes a day) and had completely forgotten about this post. As Dad says, sometimes you’re just not ready for something the first time you hear about it.

      I haven’t watched the series in a long time, but it always made me lawl.

      I need to go back and look at some of these early posts and pray that my writing has improved since then.
