Tim Burton is my least favorite director that everyone seems to love. I don’t know why, but every time I see his name I roll my eyes in frustration. It’s a weird personal problem, I know. Don’t let that stop you from enjoying Kees Van Dijkhuizen’s fantastic work as he continues his “Films of” series.

I do love Tim Burton, but I do often forget a lot of movies that he’s done. Planet of the Apes, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, even Batman. I’m surprised they didn’t list Nightmare before Christmas with his movies though at the end.

I think that’s because Nightmare Before Christmas wasn’t directed by Tim Burton (he wrote it)

Really makes it clear that he has a certain gothic theme to his works. I already knew that, but this really makes it even more clear

I like that he has a lot of thematic consistency, but, unfortunately, it means I generally dislike most Tim Burton movies.
